Caution: “Keremet Bank” warns about new cases of fraud!
Dear Customers,
Due to the increasing incidence of fraud with cards of the national payment system "Elcard" using the application "Elcard Mobile", you should be vigilant.
- Attackers invented a new way to get cardholder data.
- For the purpose of deception these persons carry out fake Promotions and Drawings in public places (for example, supermarkets) and offer customers to participate by filling out a questionnaire and giving a card with a QR code, which the fraudsters offer to scan with a smartphone.
- This way the phone is bound to the malicious software, which gives access to the card data and by paying for services using a QR code, the criminals withdraw the money.
We draw attention that, first of all, cardholders themselves should be more cautious and careful: do not use links and QR codes sent by e-mail, messages in messengers, chats and social networks, and also using materials received from strangers, and do not disclose your personal card data (card number, expiration date, CVV2).
If you receive a suspicious offer to participate in the Promotion and the Drawing in the way described above, it is better to refuse.
