The Jogorku Kenesh has approved the purchase of Keremet Bank by the Cabinet of Ministers
At the Jogorku Kenesh Meeting dated February 14, 2024 the Deputies considered and adopted the Draft Law “On Acquisition by the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic of the Block of Shares of the Open Joint-Stock Company “Keremet Bank” from the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic” in the second and third readings. The Draft Law’s initiator is the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers.
It concerns the repurchase of 97.45% of the Bank’s shares outside the stock exchange by a direct funds transfer to the NBKR account.
The Draft Law information was submitted by Mr. Talaibek Masabirov, the Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Budget, Economic and Fiscal Policy of the Jogorku Kenesh. He noted about available decisions of parliamentary factions on the adoption of this Draft Law in the second and third readings.
