“Keremet Bank” invites to appraise the convenience of VISA proximity cards.

30 January 2020

“Keremet Bank” began to issue the proximity cards of Visa international payment system. The proximity cards differ from the conventional cards in that they can pay for a purchase instantly, without entering a PIN code, only by touching the cash reader. The proximity payment technology is based on the use of built-in microchip transmitting payment information from the card via a special radio channel to the special terminal, which is usually marked with the “payWave” logo.

The first users of the proximity payment card of “Keremet Bank” OJSC have already managed to evaluate its advantages.

  • Convenience and speed. All it takes is to bring the card to the special reader, and a check of up to 1,000 soms will be paid instantly - it saves time significantly when making small purchases at gas stations, cafes and shops. If the payment amount exceeds one thousand soms, you will need to enter the PIN code for security reasons.
  • Security. Paying contactlessly, the owner will keep hold of the card and will not transfer it to any unauthorized person.

This innovation has gained popularity among consumers around the world. In Kyrgyzstan, contactless terminals are also available in large distribution networks and after-sales service points.

The contactless payment process is as follows:

  • payment amount entered by the cashier shall be verified;
  • proximity card shall be brought to the reader with the “payWave” logo, and an audible alarm will sound, and an inscription confirming the fact of payment will appear on the display;
  • seller shall prints and deliver the check;
  • make payment in the usual way through the regular POS-terminal in the absence of  special device that supports mobile proximity payment collection.

We invite everyone to appraise the convenience of using the proximity cards of Keremet Bank! If you have any additional questions, please contact the 24-hour Contact Centre of “Keremet Bank” OJSC by phone (0312) 55 44 44 or ask them on the official website.
