27 July 2020

The daily burden on the health sector of the KR caused by the spread of coronavirus infection has revealed an acute shortage of ventilators, oxygen concentrators, pulse oximeters and other equipment in medical institutions in the country.

To solve this problem, the Union of Banks of Kyrgyzstan promptly initiated fundraising among participants in the banking sector for the purchase of medical equipment. In just two weeks, bankers were able to raise funds, order and deliver 6 ventilators, 100 oxygen concentrators and 1000 pulse oximeters to the country for free transfer to regional medical institutions.

11 financial and credit institutions responded to call of the Union of Banks of Kyrgyzstan to support the bank's humanitarian action, including Keremet Bank, which also assummed all the costs of delivering imported equipment from Bishkek to the southern regions of Kyrgyzstan. Today, thanks to the Bank, the humanitarian cargo went to Jalal-Abad, and then to Osh and Batken regions.
