Proud of Keremet Bank workers: How a noble act made kinder a whole city
Abdullaeva Zamira - Manager Cashier of Batken savings bank of Keremet Bank is a vivid example of how you can change social stereotypes and worldview of people alone, lead them making the world around you kinder and more compassionate.
There was a catastrophic shortage of masks in remote Batken in the middle of the pandemic, as well as throughout Kyrgyzstan. Zamira remembers how Batken residents did not observe the mask regime either on the street or when visiting the Bank due to the shortage. Our heroine did not stand idly by and look for the culprits, but decided to help the citizens on her own.
The employee of the bank remembers how she bought the fabric at a local market, cut it and every evening after work until late at night sewed handmade masks on her sewing machine. The first batch of 500 pieces Zamira distributed free of charge to all unmasked Bank customers, city services and random passersby at bus stops, bazaars and shops. Many sincerely thanked and were surprised that the mask is free. The news of Zamira's noble deed quickly spread around Batken. After hearing this story, local entrepreneurs joined the project helping some with fabric and thread, others with identifying people in need and distributing masks. Zamira did not have time to satisfy all requests alone, therefore her sisters Tordugul and Aigul came to help. Currently, our heroine continues to sew masks for Batken residents and does not plan to stop until the epidemiological situation in the country stabilizes.
Thus starting small, showing a civil position and social responsibility, you can change the system of values in the whole city and lead thoughtful people. On behalf of the entire bank, we thank Zamira Abdullaeva for her generosity, for her human qualities and life values, which are very rare recently.
Zamira Abdullaeva has been working in the team of Keremet Bank for more than 12 years. We are proud of our personnel and believe that Kyrgyzstan has a great future with such noble people!
