Keremet Bank presented its beloved Bishkek city with seedlings in the year of the 30th Anniversary of Independence of the Kyrgyz Republic
Keremet Bank contributed to the improvement of the environment and the appearance of the capital by giving the Bishkek City Hall seedlings for landscaping the Yntymak-2 park. Due to the vital importance of green spaces for the capital and the growing popularity of parks among citizens, employees of Keremet Bank together with the municipal government organized an eco-campaign dedicated to the 30th Anniversary of the Independence of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Mayor of Bishkek city Kudaibergenov Baktybek Zhaparovich, who took part in the Keremet Bank eco-campaign, thanked the bank employees for their contribution to the greening of the capital and in particular for choosing broad-leaf trees.
Thanks to the initiative, the alleys of the Yntymak-2 park are now ornamented with 30 seedlings of linden trees and 30 maples (small-leaved linden and Norway maple) provided free of charge by Keremet Bank.
- Small-leaved linden is a tree up to 30 m tall, with a compact oval crown and a slender cylindrical trunk.
- Norwaymaple is a large deciduous tree with a slender trunk with a wide, dense and spherical crown.
The choice in favor of these tree species was made on the recommendation of the researchers of the Botanical Garden named after E. Gareev in the framework of the approved project of the Yntymak-2 park. Linden and maple have significant advantages: they are most widely used in gardens and parks, are sensitive to drought, tolerate urban conditions well, favorably affect the environment and retain dust.
Chairman of the Management Board of Keremet Bank Toktogul Rysbek remembered of "the old days, when Bishkek (formerly Frunze –notice.) was reputed to be the greenest city among all the Soviet republics and expressed the hope that thanks to such actions, the beloved Bishkek will soon be able to return to its former glory as the greenest capital in the CIS." And he concluded: "We, representatives of the business sector, are not indifferent to how our descendants will see Kyrgyzstan. Keremet Bank is pleased that the bank together with the Mayor's Office contributes to the improvement of our capital. If we want to live in the greenest country on the planet, then everyone must realize that they are responsible for the place where they live."
