The Keremet Bank Employees have cleared out the City Maxim Gorky Park and the territory near the Bank
Cigarette ends, wrappers, glass and plastic bottles, bags, tissue and paper napkins, medical masks - on September 18, within the framework of the World Clean-up Day, the Keremet Bank Employees collected 27 bags of garbage near the Bank's Head Office and at the Maxim Gorky Park, having sorted out separately plastic, glass and other waste.
The idea of World Clean-up Day was born in Estonia more than 10 years ago, and on Saturday more than 180 countries around the world supported simultaneously this initiative. In Kyrgyzstan, the Republican Subbotnik was organized by the efforts of the “Eco Demi” Public Foundation.
Many people realize the existence of environmental problem, but for some reason most people treat the city like a garbage dump. The cigarette ends, candy and snack wrappers are the scourge of resting places in Bishkek. Also, much sunflower seed shell and many bottles were collected near the benches and green planting. Unfortunately, while widespread lack of culture prospers, the special city cleaning services cannot manage alone the existing volume of discarded garbage.
“Keremet Bank” OJSC calls upon everyone to start acting. The population must be taught from childhood not to throw away their waste on the sidewalks, land and irrigating ditches, but to bring it to the garbage cans or to take it with them. Such educational activity will enable to make our country cleaner and to solve the ecological situation problem at least at the local level.
The Keremet Bank Employees are glad that they were able to contribute to the cleaning of the environment and their home country from garbage. The attitude towards the country becomes apparent in minor things: participating in such events, we educate young people by personal example.
Let's get started loving our native Kyrgyzstan!
