“World Savings Day – 2021”: IUCA students visit “Keremet Bank”
Today, under the auspices of the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic a major event dedicated to the "World Savings Day – 2021" officially launched in the country. The global goal of the international movement is to increase the financial literacy of today's youth, to make them think about their financial future today, instilling in them a culture of saving and investing.
For reference:
This holiday has been celebrated on October 31 since 1924, when representatives of savings banks from 29 countries gathered in Milan (Italy) for the First International Specialized Congress and decided to establish the “World Savings Day”. Since then, the geography and popularity of the holiday has expanded annually, and today it is celebrated almost everywhere in the world, including the Kyrgyz Republic.
In “Keremet Bank” the first event dedicated to the “World Savings Day – 2021” was an introductory tour of the bank for students of I and II year of the International University of Central Asia from the city of Tokmok.
The future lawyers and business administrators had a great opportunity to see the work of various departments of the bank from the inside. The acquaintance began with the customer service office – the branch “Keremet Bank – Bishkek”, continued in the accounting and reporting department, then students visited lawyers, then learned all about the card products, the possibilities of remote banking services and got acquainted with the everyday life of the information security service.
- A payment card was a main theme throughout the tour, and it was immediately issued and printed to one of the students. The new cardholder and his group-mates learned a lot about payment services, modern banking products, services and technologies, and in the end they also had an opportunity to practice on different kinds of banking equipment and look at their device from inside. Grateful visitors left not only with a luggage of new knowledge, but also with souvenirs and useful literature on financial literacy.
Such form of communication with educational institutions is a good tradition in “Keremet Bank”, because in the future students will get in touch with the world of banking products and digital solutions: if not as colleagues, then as customers.
The holiday week has just begun, follow the announcement of all the activities on financial literacy of “Keremet Bank” in social media – ahead you will find useful tips, suggestions, contests and quizzes.
