“Keremet Bank” took part in the event of NBKR on summarizing the results of the “World Savings Day – 2021” in Kyrgyzstan
The National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic jointly with the German Savings Bank Foundation, the Ministry of Education and Science of Kyrgyzstan, commercial banks, international and local organizations developing the financial sector in the country organize the annual “World Savings Day” celebration in the republic. The seventh World Savings Day was held in Kyrgyzstan this year. Global objective of the international movement is to increase the financial literacy of young people, to make them think about their financial future today, instilling in them a culture of saving and investing.
Background:
Every year since 1924, when representatives of savings banks from 29 countries gathered in Milan (Italy) for the First International Specialized Congress and decided to establish the “World Savings Day”, the holiday has been celebrated in the world on October 31. Since then, the geography and popularity of the holiday has expanded every year, and now it is celebrated almost all over the world, including the Kyrgyz Republic.
In this year under the patronage of the NBKR the following events were held all over the country: 39 excursions and open days, 59 seminars and trainings, 20 lectures at universities, 30 school lessons and 5 digital, as well as more than 20 contests, interactive games and other exciting activities. According to statistics from the NBKR in 2021, more than three million Kyrgyz people learned about the large-scale financial campaign in the country, of which more than 4,000 people directly participated in the organized activities
As an active participant in the movement to improve financial literacy in Kyrgyzstan, Keremet Bank also carried out a series of activities that were intensive and interesting: neither schoolchildren, nor students, nor adults were left without attention.
