Owing to the Social Mortgage, more than 1,600 families of Kyrgyzstan citizens were able to purchase their own housing on favorable terms
The Preferential Housing Program "Social Mortgage" operated in Keremet Bank for two and a half years: from May 2019 to December 2021. Thanks to the Mortgage Program, more than 1,600 families of public sector employees have solved the issue of housing purchase on preferential terms, at below-market rates. The financing for these purposes amounted to more than 2.3 billion soms, and more than half of loans issued fell within the country’s regions.
It is important to stress that the Social Mortgage was launched in order to support public sector employees solely upon the bank’s initiative as a social project and was financed with its own attracted funds, rather than at the expense of the State Mortgage Company (SMC). It should be noted that the SMC and Keremet Bank are two completely different structures, which are not interconnected in any way.
