“Keremet Bank” OJSC has confirmed its commitment to the principle of gender equality

“Keremet Bank” OJSC has updated the          Corporate Ethics Code and has confirmed its commitment to the principle of gender equality and its desire to create a fair and inclusive working environment (i.e., an environment, where conditions have been created for the socialization and adaptation of special needs individuals), where every employee, irrespective of gender, has equal opportunities and rights, as well as can show its potential and achieve success.

This work was carried out within the framework of achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals specified at the national level by the Kyrgyz Republic contribution, among which the gender issues are the fifth of the seventeen UN Goals.

The Bank’s Corporate Ethics Code specifies the following principles:

  • Conduct an objective and impartial procedure for selecting any candidates to fill vacancies on the basis of their qualifications, experience and abilities;
  • Provide equal opportunities for all employees in the field of professional training and career development;
  • Guarantee equal pay for equal work and equal working conditions for all employees irrespective of their gender;
  • Counteract any manifestations of gender-based discrimination, inequality or bias and consider all complaints of violations of this principle with seriousness and confidentiality.
